Food Secure Communities Initiative

Through our Health Eating work and as a grantee of Kansas Food Action Network's Food Secure Communities initiative, we held an exciting event this morning. For the first time in many years, six of the area's larger-capacity pantries gathered to discuss assets and gaps across the food security landscape of Shawnee County. Pantries county-wide work tirelessly to feed those needing food assistance. By working together, we can learn from each other and develop an even stronger food safety net. We're just getting started!
